Please join us at a meet-and-greet for an honest judge under attack for upholding Florida’s Sunshine Law in the face of a DeSantis/Trump-backed grift.

Circuit Court Judge Mavel Ruiz presided over Marvin Dunn’s suit against the DeSantis-picked board of Miami-Dade College after they gifted the Trump family a parcel in downtown Miami worth $300 million, without holding a properly noticed public meeting.

The Wolfson family gave that parcel to Miami-Dade College to benefit the students of this county. Instead, Gov. DeSantis “sold” it to the Trump family for $10 to build a Trump Library. Eric Trump says they will use it to build a giant Trump hotel instead of a library.

How did Judge Ruiz upset MAGA Inc.?   She upheld Florida’s Sunshine Law, ruling the Board could not proceed without a properly advertised public meeting (they held the meeting, then gave away the  parcel).

For that simple and honest act, she is being targeted by a heavily-funded opponent.
